Trillaaaaaa! The Triple C Boss is back on the beach with a brand new beach (hah). Rick’s 2nd album starts out with a creative intro where he continues to shout out all his compadres in & out his verses. As we move down the list, he continues to blow kush in your face with bangers like “Speedin”, “Boss” and “This Me”. And its no surprise that the illest track on the album is “Maybach Music” which features Jay-Z. Rick does his thing by claiming that it was the realest sh!t he ever wrote sitting in his Maybach and Jay responds, “True story, my closet is like 2 stories/Straight to the happy ending, cuz’ I don’t do stories” Rick continues to hold his weight (no pun intended), as he delivers strong over “Billionaire” and “Luxury Tax”. I won’t lie, the Lil Wayne feature was more than half decent this time. Overall, the album is a bit more laid back than his debut but the production is real solid. J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League provided most of the tunes, with the help of Bink, J.R. Rotem, The Runners and so on. Trilla is NOW out. Enjoy the bass heavy beats chilling in your Civic.
