Review: Lil Wayne – Carter III |

It’s a big day for many, but its an even bigger day for Dwayne Carter aka Weezy F Baby. After much talk, countless features/cameos and numerous mixtapes, the man has finally been able to release his long due album, The Carter III. The Young Money team deserves a lot of credit for the marketing and promoting that was put behind this album, as it sure has helped expand the buzz globally. However, with endless marketing dollars, street buzz and a blazing single, the album falls short of being anything near a damn classic. I personally like just as many songs as I hate on the album. C’mon Weezy, I thought you had much better choice in picking your producers and should have saved those features for your own album. I bet a lot of kids were heart broken, when they found out that Mr. Carter had nothing to do with Just Blaze, hah. It’s a heavy joint, but the beat cannot be compared to Just Blaze’s caliber. And of course, without a doubt, Jay-Z had the best verse on the album and I just heard that he killed the Millie beat off of Carter III. Not a good look! Wayne does an amazing job by shining over the beats provided by Mr. West and prolly had the best storytelling on Dr. Carter. Good looking on the beat Swizz. The other producers who contributed their B class beats were Cool & Dre, David Banner, StreetRunner and such. Regardless the flaws, the album is bound to do a millie. His success is long over due and he definitely will land the number 1 spot with his lollipop single, which is also the number 1 ring-tone. Wayne’s just reaching his prime and I have a feeling that he will deliver a classic, eventually. Speaking of classics, where the fruck is Detox???
Must Check Out:
Mr. Carter feat Jay-Z
Dr. Carter
Tie My Hands feat Robin Thicke
Shoot Me Down
Let The Beat Build
Nothing On Me feat Fabolous, Juelz Santana
