I’m sure some of you are familiar with my recent umm… how i put this nicely, “differing opinion” about Joaquin Phoenix’s career moves. He wants to be a rapper and well for those who’ve seen the videos, you know is like what the fuck? Is my dude on horse medication or something? Like really man, your an ill actor, but terrible at acting like a credible rap act. Anywhoo, I think his people have realized this guy is fuckin up and I read this stuff today…

Joaquin Phoenix’s rap career is all part of an elaborate hoax, according to the eccentric movie star’s closest pals. The two-time Oscar nominee recently announced he was turning his back on acting to follow his musical dreams, and he followed up the shock news with a zany three-song debut as a rapper at a Las Vegas nightclub.

During his performance on 16 January, which was captured on film by his actor brother-in-law Casey Affleck, Phoenix appeared to have a public meltdown before falling off the stage.

But pals insist the Walk The Line star knows exactly what he’s doing – and his performance was all part of an “art project”.

One close friend tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, “He said, ‘It’s a put-on. I’m going to pretend to have a meltdown and change careers, and Casey is going to film it.’

“It’s an art project for him. He’s going full out. He probably has told his reps that he’s quit acting. Joaquin is very smart. This is very conscious. He has a huge degree of control.” (IMDB.com)

What the flying fuck? Art project?  Is this guy serious? When I saw the video I was like really this must be some sort of joke, probably some silly Hollywood s**t, ha-ha you guys just like to prank your fans cause you love us ha-ha. But art project? Thas a wack excuse man, “let me pretend to have a breakdown on stage for art”? You know what, now I’m now more sure then ever that the pursuit of the rap career was real. And well this is just some PR, to try to smooth it over. Well let me say this J. Phoenix, most people probably don’t care what you do, but I do. Until you come out and say yeah it was a joke and you show me the completed art project, I’m gonna consider you a rapper/actor and not the other way around. Continue rapping and making music, I’m already waiting on the album, I’ll probably even buy it. If you want man, fly over to Canada and I’ll hook you up with some of my music making people and you guys can get some real magic going. Then maybe one day you too can be on the remix of My President is Black…I think actually that wouldn’t be such a good idea.

The 2009 Sundance Film festival just concluded and the trailers for some of the movies have made made their way into the public realm. The first one we gonna look at is Mary and Max, the dark-comedy claymation film about lifelong friends. This one stars the likes of Toni Collette, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Eric Bana. I don’t know when it’ll be available for the public, but I look forward to it anyway, it looks charming.

This is a PETA Superbowl ad that was allegedly banned by NBC. Apparently they have to make some cuts before it is deemed suitable for TV. I really dislike that PETA man f**king attention whore ass company. Like I love animals, like I personally don’t even kill bugs eh, and cruelty to them is something that should not be tolerated by society, we gotta keep it humane or whatever. But this organization just goes too far, almost all the time. One time we was watching a PETA documentary called I Am Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA, and well that movie scarred me for life, it was too wild and I personnallyy think, and I’m sure many would agree that Ingrid Newkirk is a…as Chris Tucker elequently put it in Rush Hour 2…. crazy ass bitch!! FUCK PETA!!

This was not a film that made my “ubiquitous”  9 of ’09, but it could be a big one this summer. Once again they’ve been on the low with the markeying thus far, but rumours persist that this Sunday there may be a trailer for this film, apparently there’s a big football game on Sunday or something like that……anywhoo G.I.
