American underground rap iconoclast Doom (formerly MF Doom) releases his new album Born Like This on Lex Records on March 24th. The U.K.-born, New York-raised rapper’s LP features contributions from Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and the beats of late production genius J Dilla, and represents seven years of work recorded on and off at home in Atlanta. Thom Yorke recently remixed sexy single “Gazillion Ear” and funky, Jake One-produced “Ballskin” is bouncing across the major music blogs. The centerpiece of the record is “Cellz”, which explodes with apocalyptic fury. On it, the late, great American poet Charles Bukowski reads of one of his best poems, “Dinosauria, We,” for almost two minutes while missiles fire and the Earth is laid to waste.
This is the album cover to Chester French’s Love The Future from the phootshoot video posted earlier. Before the scheduled release for April 21st, the boys will be releasing a Clinton Sparks assisted full-length mixtape called Jacques Jams, Vol. 1: Endurance. The mixtape will feature the likes of Diddy, Jermaine Dupri, Pharrell, Janelle Monae, Bun B, Talib Kweli, Solange, Cassie, and many more. From D.A.’s previous Twitter post, he was trying to recruit KanYe for the tape. I’m sure Ye’s gonn wanna jump in the mix as well. Peep the track Jimmy Choos if you haven’t already after the jump. The remix by El-P is too sickkkk.
Real dope website. Built by the NERD gang to bring together various artists from all over the world who use different mediums for expressions. Must say, the art work is real amazing. Be sure to check it out and sign up.
Check it, I don’t mind Lindsay Lohan, in fact some would I have a little thing for her, as does a certain other contributor to this site. Something about her role in Mean Girls was really cool, and quite endearing, plus it’s a good movie. Anywhoo when I saw this “Italian ad”, starring said Lindsay Lohan, I was in utter dismay at the fact that she’s doing this shit now….
Happy Tuesday people. Today we’re gonna start off with something for the Batman fans out there, any Batman fans? Hello? Okay, just roll the f**king tape…
With their debut creeping up, D.A. and Max of Chester French have been busy touring with Lady Gaga, Twittering and DJ-ing at selected Diesel stores. I wish I could reach the concert this Thursday in Kitchener, but its outta my reach. Here is some footage of the Harvard boys from their album photoshoot for Love The Future.
I must say I really like the Ashley Schaeffer look (from Eastbound and Down, I hate that show personally), it makes the already hilarious looking Will Farrell that much more funny. I think I might get into a bat fight this weekend.
I’m still in shock (pun so intended) that this movie is coming out, but I’m really looking forward to it. The first one was like a cinematic drug experience.
This just put a big fat smile on my face. Queens Get The Money just sent chills down my spine. Very interesting how he broke down Hero. Check out Jordan DeLisser’s Youtube page for more videos. Dude even broke down the Carter III. Game over! Check it after the jump.

Everybodys favourite bootleg brand is making a hefty comeback this Spring/Summer with bags. Now I know they brought back the so-called “graffiti” bags to honor the late Stephen Sprouse (R.I.P.) but sh!t was straight foul and obnoxious. As an artist myself, I take an offence when ppl tend to exploit the word graffiti and make big dollars out of the street art. People get aggravated on the drop of that word, the cops still wanna kick our asses for it (hell, they even beat down Obey when he was posting the Hope posters) and yet, everybody is trying to make a buck off of it. I don’t mind if they called the bag scribbles or whatever, but graffiti was just the wrong choice in my opinion. I respect Stephen Sprouse and admire all his work that he has left behind, but that one just seems to pinch a nerve. Moving along, I peeped the new bag collection from Louis Vuitton’s Ready-To Wear Spring/Summer 2009 show in Paris and the sh!t is off the hook. The various new designs, choice of materials and colours are simply amazing. This is a true display of class and elegance, which will continue to carry the legacy of the brand. Peep the rest of the flicks after the jump. (more…)
Man, I miss the more tongue in cheek, campy world of yesteryear, niggas is too serious these days. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m going to go watch Paris Hilton’s my British BFF. Now that’s entertainment!!
Check the poster for the new Spike Jones live action adaptation of the classic book…
