I just received a link to a dope new producer whose holding down Paris, France at the moment: Woodini. The kid just put out a remix album (my Soul, my HipHop, my Remix) featuring some of the greatest all time. The melodic sounds of Woodini do great justice to the likes of: Brandy, LeToya Luckett, Van Hunt, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, Erykah Badu, Jackson 5 and many more. I’ve heard about 5 joints off the album and they’ve all been impressive. At this point, I can’t seem to go past Brandy’s  What About Us? remix. That guitar is ridiculous! Well played Woo. Just wanna thank everybody who hit us up and celebrated J Dilla Day with us yesterday. We really appreciate the support and love. I received a very special mix from RP3 in my mailbox. The Dilla Midnight Snack is a 61:21 mins mix of some of the rarest and illest smoothest/mellowest instrumentals by Dilla, put together by RP3 and his ppls. This is a MUST HAVE for all Dilla heads. I’m currently stuck between 25:20-26:50. The transition to Love Jones (off The Shining) is heavyyyy! Add this to the collection ASAP. Well done!

I was going through my externals and came across a bunch of old Dilla tribute mixes and beat tapes. I’ll be posting ‘em through out the day, but I’ll leave out the beat tapes. I’ll letcha’ have the fun of scavenging around for all 3 of ‘em. There’s a couple more, but most of them have repeats.

About time the instrumentals are hitting the CD market. I’ve been vibing out to this for endless hours/days since the mp3s first hit the net back in Sept/Oct last yr. I never found any Madlib interviews bout how he felt when Dilla left, but this right here is all there is to say. The 42 instumental journey has Madlib hitting every emotion on the scale, with J.Rocc doing an excellent job of mixing the record down. I highly suggest for all beat heads and music lovers to listen and have Vol.1-4 in your collection, before you jump directly into this one. The CD is dropping Feb 10th, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon or on the Stones Throw website directly, along with the Beat Konducta posters and such.

Wow….. These two are reeall deadly! I advise you to buy em both. Beat Konducta Vol. 5: Dil Cosby Suite & Beat Konducta Vol. 6: Dil Withers Suite. These are the digital copies and the CD is going to realease early 2009. Madlib and J. Rocc’s Tritbute to J Dilla. Support good music.
