This one really reminded me of the “Heineken” SB which dropped back in ’03. I prefer this over the those any day. Great idea/inspiration, time to check if I can get a hold of these. Hit the jump for more flicks.
This one looks too sinister! Hit the jump for more flicks.
“During the end of last year we created a shoe that was based off the Titan Gorgon Medusa. It was an idea we have had for the longest. Those of you that went to the Clash of the Customizer even, you saw them. We wanted to create a shoe with multiple textures and things to keep the eye moving. To start, most of the shoe has a stony cracked texture to represent the shoe being turned into stone. Followed by fire red Nike swooshes to break up the dull grey panels. Towards the back we wanted to put some type of visual imagery of Medusa herself. Her eyes are made of real red sapphires, along with the figure we created on the box. Medusa’s snakes have a sleek textured feel to them as well complementing the had stony texture of the toe. The inside of the box is lined with crushed velvet like material and is a sturdy home for the Gorgon themed dunk.”
Fresh off the heels of their Air Jordan 3, 4, and 9 launches, Jordan’s Silver Anniversary continues in grand fashion with arguably the most desired shoe in the sneaker world. The Silver Anniversary Air Jordan 11 will launch May 1st, 2010 and will continue Jordan Brand’s celebration of the line’s 25th Anniversary with a special White/Metallic Silver rendition of one of the most coveted styles in the Air Jordan franchise.
As a notable fixture throughout the feet of many generations of Chinese people, the prototypical kung-fu/tai-chi shoe takes on a contemporary approach with French footwear label Bagua. Looking to balance the relationship of man and his surroundings, Bagua’s Chinese-inspired name represent the 8 rings of Divination. The shoes are reproduced in a simple, utilitarian profile. The collection for the 2010 spring/summer season includes various material offerings with more information and an e-shop available at BaguaShoes.com.
The second collaboration between Crooks & Castles and Vans gets released this season. This time they worked on the Chukka Pro. It comes with Epi and full grain leather on the upper and the Crooks logo tag on the tongue. The sneaker is now available in very limited quantities from Proper.
Simplicity is key. You cannot fail with these on your feet. Fresh!
An interesting release has dropped in Japan from German brand Romika. Not exactly known for their stylish sneakers, the brand has come out with the “Tennis Ball” pack, which is definitely something for the brave among you. As part of the pack they present the low top Pirate sneaker and the mid top Korsar. Both come in neon yellow and neon green and are now available at Flauge.
Much cleaner and fresher than the Reebok Pumps released a while back. The green ones are looking extra crispy. More flix after the jump.
These dunks have officially changed my world for the next month or so. The concept and the design behind this is so dope (heh). The material is bananas, the colors are hazy, there is a hidden pocket under the tongue for your stash and the insoles have an ill skunk print. These should be dropping something in April (possibly 420). I know I got my connect for these. Ya’ll better get yours. More pix after the jump.
Supra NS offer some new material and color updates to their minimalistic Assault model. The low-top model features a sleek vulcanized outsole with some classic material choices such as gingham and pure white. Available now at select Supra NS dealers as well as online through FACTORY 413.
HOW FRESH ARE THESE?!?!?! Super sweet x simple. I think I need to hang back on the Dunk and cop some Chucks.
For Spring 2010, the Nike Air Royal Mid comes in a strong two-tone cool grey color combination. “Textile” uppers give it a smooth finish, while deep orange accents on the heel tab and stitching add a pop of color. Available now from Caliroots.
These mean serious bidness. They look Marty McFly inspired but look waaay better. Definitely need to get my hands on these. Some day. More pix after the jump.
The landmark 25th Anniversary Air Jordan 2010 simply reinvents the basketball shoe. Its light weight, first-ever independent forefoot cover and low profile bottom-loaded Zoom Air deliver revolutionary on-court performance.
One of those myths that may or may not be released in the upcoming months. The dunk low is all black suede with red stitching, 3M paneling, gum sole and an emblm on the heel which kinda looks like a barrel. No further detail on the product. Just more visuals after the jump.
In a campaign that has seen select NBA franchises get their own adidas Originals re-release of the Phantom II, the Boston Celtics version is featured here. The largely green upper is a strong tribute to the Celts as it includes the logo on the tongue and CELTICS over the heel. A green basketball signed by Kendrick Perkins is also part of the promotional pack which will be available via Concepts.
The sneaker gods (and I use that term veryyy loosely) have spoken and crowned the Air Max LeBron VII for the 1st slot. I agree with majority of the list, but then again, I don’t. How the hell did these clowns miss out on THE greatest color-way release of the Bloodygums in the SB division. Anywho, I’ll save my ranting for the rest of the videos below. Regarding the first place, I likes it a lot. I’m not a BIG fan of the LeBron brand (J23 all the way!!!) but this one is by far the most creative and money worthy product to come out the camp. The 360 bubble sole is to die for. Good job! Peep the rest of the 9 videos after the jump. PS – Kent is hella rude but you gotta love his passion.
