Simpsons HD??*

Well good day folks, life in HD is not so bad. Yesterday was a history making day in my little existence, and I’m not talking about the rigged bore-fest NBA All-Star game. What I am referring to was the debut of the Simpsons in High-Definition. I’m gonna admit it was a very tense switch for me. Recently Regis & Kelly went HD and I thought that was as HD as I’d ever need in my daily entertainment.  I guess maybe a part of me thought it could look like the picture above….I kid I kid, that’s a hideous picture, but pretty jokes too. I originally felt uneasy about the new starting and all that, I believe in change, but like this? But after dissecting it about 1000 times over the weekend I learned to really really love it. It’s a great starting, that as one of our readers said, was “pure Simpsons”, the only reason  it seems kind of long was due to the fact that the couch gag segment went on for what seemed like forever. Check out this new Belvedere bottle I found on the interweb. I have a fascination for these bottles as is well documented by some of my previous posts, lets just hope the fat cats over at Belvedere don’t make this some shitty Euro exclusive….niggas is watchin’ Belvedere! Make your move….I think the guy holding the bottle designed it by the way, he doesn’t want to fight you or anything so calm down.

This is a PETA Superbowl ad that was allegedly banned by NBC. Apparently they have to make some cuts before it is deemed suitable for TV. I really dislike that PETA man f**king attention whore ass company. Like I love animals, like I personally don’t even kill bugs eh, and cruelty to them is something that should not be tolerated by society, we gotta keep it humane or whatever. But this organization just goes too far, almost all the time. One time we was watching a PETA documentary called I Am Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA, and well that movie scarred me for life, it was too wild and I personnallyy think, and I’m sure many would agree that Ingrid Newkirk is a…as Chris Tucker elequently put it in Rush Hour 2…. crazy ass bitch!! FUCK PETA!!

By the way if you haven’t figured it out yet, that there is Joaquin Phoenix, the Oscar nominated actor from such films as; Walk the Line, We Own the Night and Gladiator. He recently retired from acting to pursue a “career in music” and well this ain’t what i expected. To sum up how I feel, I think the great Rick James said it best…you’ll know what quote I’m talking about…

This is definitely gonn make one sweet X-Mas present for many of you folks out thurr. And, if you plan on getting the Bat-Pod edition of this dvd release, I strongly suggest that you place your pre-orders and not show up like a fool after a week and the start harrassing the store to GET you one (goofs!). There are 3 different editions to the release. The single disc with the Batman cover (which has the Joker’s mark all over the back of it) , the  2-disc special edition with bonus goodies and the Bat-Pod edition featured below. I still remember the havoc from the first DVD release of Batman Begins, so this will be no surprise. Hope ppl don’t get hurt during shopping season.  I haven’t seen any pix for the regular DVD folks, but its safe to assume it’ll be the same as Blu-Ray.

The Inglewood resident returns with another banging mixtape by DJ Whoo Kid. The cover may read production by Dr.Dre, but the good Doctor is no where to be found over the tracks. Instead, we’re left with Dre sound-alikes such as Focus, Scott Storch, Dae One and so on. The fellow producers do work directly under Dr.Dre, so he must have signed off on every beat/track that was produced. Bottom line: DJ KHALIL (Fruckk Khaled) is a serious problem. Peep the track below featuring Bishop and good ol’ Mister Porter. And then head over to the good folks at Aftermath Music to download the latest mixtape.

This is Maybach Music 2.0. I really don’t understand how Nas is able to out do himself every damn time. The Game definitely held his own on the track and the Hi-Tekzilla came through real heavy with the bass line. Drinkers need to grab that bottle and let it run. And all my smokers need to light 70 blunts to this shiiiit! L.A.X. drops August 26th.

Finally got the time to boogie down to Silver City and watch the much anticipated Pineapple Express. Maybe I’m just being biased, but it was worth every damn penny. James Franco was definitely the scene stealer in the flick. I’ll let his character and acting speak for itself. It was great to see all the previous extras from the past movies and Daryl from The Office was damn hilarious. I still dunn know the man’s name. Rosie Perez was iight too. She be complaining too much bout ppl in hiphop shouting her out, hah. Jks! The movie definitely got some of the most funniest action sequences I’ve seen. The fight between Saul and Dale vs. Red is too damn classic. Even Bobby Lee was blessed with a hilarious mini part in the movie. If you haven’t seen it by now, try to for the weekend. No regrets! Smoke safe!
