Hello World,

It’s been a hot minute but I promise you that we’ve been working super hard for the past couple months. The 2nd mixtape by Spooks titled G.I.F.T.S. will be dropping on Feb 28th. The zip file will include a bunch of goodies for your iPod and etc (more details to follow). We’re also dropping the video for “Next Up/Dodge Ball” the same day so look out for that. The bulk of the production was handled by Dusty Loops, along with L. Ment, Spooks and The Prezident Jeff. Note to the skeptics: this WILL make you a believer! We’ll post the album art and track list in a couple of days. Stay tuned. 2 fingers!

Hello Daily Readers. Happy Reading Week for the ones it concerns. If not, Happy Regular Week either way. Family days was much of a hiliday for us, as its work all the time round hurr. Been a minute since I’ve posted any updates, so thought I’d fill ya in and give ya a heads ups. Let go through this quickly…

• Wong will be at the auto-show (Rogers Centre) till the 21st, so be sure to salute the boss if you catch him and cop one of the sexy Soul Image body-art posters.
• Thank you to everyone for hitting us up about Spook’s Dilla Day freestyle. He’s in the studio, working. No time off, truss me. Sampler coming real damn soon. My word to the public.
• Shout outs to Flash, who came through and ran a photoshoot with us. I’ll be introducing Flash real soon and giving him his own pad on the site, for ya’ll to check out his work and etc.
• Waffles x Beatz and Soul Image will be at Royalty Radio TONIGHTat 8-10pm. Be sure to tune in and support ya boys. I’ll be posting the online radio link asap.

People, it has happened. The much rumored, much alluded to event is finally going to occur. That’s right folks, THE SIMPSONS are going to HD. This Sundays episode of the classic TV program, and my personal favourite of all time,  will be the first ever shown in HD…..I think I might cry during this event, but that will be because the clarity o the screen will make my eyes water, not because I’m soft or something..or is it?…BUT there may be some controversy about this move…check this out

Oh good god, I hope this isn’t the permanent new starting. I like change, but not this type of change. I really hope they make this a one time thing and then revert to the classic starting you know, just like they did with the movie starting and some Christmas episodes. I’m really uncomfortable with the HD starting, I don’t know why, maybe it just shows it truly is a new generation for this show, and I’m reluctant to admit it. Anywho, I wish the show says on forever and well the new HD does look amazing next stop 3-D!!

The Stones Throw Europe tour will be kicking off Mar 6th. The line up starrs your usual suspects: PBW, James Pants, Mayer Hawthorne, Dam-Funk and surprise guests. Peep the tour dates after the jump, along with different coloured posters for each city. ST always keeping it funky.

About time the instrumentals are hitting the CD market. I’ve been vibing out to this for endless hours/days since the mp3s first hit the net back in Sept/Oct last yr. I never found any Madlib interviews bout how he felt when Dilla left, but this right here is all there is to say. The 42 instumental journey has Madlib hitting every emotion on the scale, with J.Rocc doing an excellent job of mixing the record down. I highly suggest for all beat heads and music lovers to listen and have Vol.1-4 in your collection, before you jump directly into this one. The CD is dropping Feb 10th, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon or on the Stones Throw website directly, along with the Beat Konducta posters and such.

Hello World! It’s ’bout 8 in the morning, cold as hell, real quiet in the Mac room and I’m burnt as ever. Still waiting on the coffee boy (hah, Happy Burfday Munna) to bring me back my snack. I haven’t had the chance to update ya’ll on any of the current events, as I’m still trying to catch up for the last 2 missing weeks. I got a ton of photos to share from my trip, but only time will tell when I’ll actually get around to posting them. To most of ya’ll it prolly wouldn’t mean sh!t, but I can’t seem to get over my trip to the Tate Modern Museum. Everything was exactly as I had wanted it to be and much more. Now I can actually say that I’m one of those ppl who has seen a REAL Andy Warhol. I’d seen 4 canvases of his and they were even more impressive and amazing from a meter away than in my books/comp. Back to bidniz…soooo, we’re back!! Another year. More projects. More posts. More memories. For those of you msging me and asking about the Facebook and all, it’s all true. I’ve taken down most of the sites and contact places, as I’ll be rebooting them sometime in Feb. I don’t wanna give too much away, but ya can expect a Soul Image Art Show coming along, where I’ll be expecting you all. Wong, Ben and myself have been working on several pieces and everyones definitely doing their best to out do the next artist, ha. Got a couple other surprise artists who will be contributing to the show. Also, we’ll be hitting up Royalty Radio sometime in Feb, more info to come. Shout outs to our folks Dre/Drega at the station. OH, before I forget, Spooks is also on his grizzly and will be working on the music asap. I got 2 freestyle by Spahkz on the other hand, which I’m very iffy bout whether I wanna share ‘em, hah.
