On the Weekend I Watched Watchmen…
…and well let me say…what the f**k? Listen, I think Zak Snyder did an amazing job, of adapting the book for the big screen. The issue I have is that the book SHOULD NOT have been adapted into a film, simple as that. It just did not translate well from the 9 panel pages to the big screen, some things looked kind of corny, but as is the differences between the mediums. I defiantly do not think it was Snyder’s fault. It felt too long….but then it didn’t feel long enough. They made changes and additions to make it watchable, but then took things out that would have made it more watchable. Okay I’m not sure I’m making much sense right now, but as is the type of response one should expect when asking me about Watchmen at any point in the future, it was just I don’t know…
However it was a visually stunning film and one of the parts that killed me was the opening credit sequence. It was absolutely stunning in the way it was executed and well I think despite ones opinion on the film you have got to give it up to this. Please check it out eh!
