KAWS x Tobey Maguire for Interview Magazine |
Interview Magazine recently caught up with KAWS and conducted an interview via ex-Spiderman. How odd. Spidey manages to cover KAWS’ background origins, his interest in toys, influences and much more. A must read for all KAWS fans. Great job Spider!

Art: Videogioco Loop Experiment |
videogioco-loop experiment from donato sansone on Vimeo.
People seem to have way too much time on their hand and I love it. This looks like the same guys who brought you the “parkour” video posted earlier. Hard work and patience always pays off. Very entertaining nonetheless.

Digital Graffiti Demonstration |
Digital Graffiti Wall + Stencils from Alex Beim on Vimeo.
We keep on making the graffiti wall better and better. This is a little demo of the new stencils module we have added to it. We shot this video at Draw by Night, a Vancouver event organized my Myron Campbell. Visuals also by Myron.
Graffiti has come a long way. Its always refreshing to see the new developments in Art. I appreciate it all but I’ll stick by my pencil and paper. Hats off, nonetheless.

Mike Shinoda – Glorious Excess Exhibition |

Via: hypebeast
Bobby Hundreds offers a closer look into the opening night of Mike Shinoda’s Glorious Excess (Dies) Exhibition that took place at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. The show follows Shinoda’s highly-successful 2008 show, Glorious Excess (Born), exploring society’s obsession with celebrity culture, consumer addiction, and fascination with excess. Many top tier personalities were on hand, showing support for the artist and Linkin Park MC. For those that could not make the opening, Glorious Excess (Dies) will remain open to the public until October 14th, 2009.
Shinoda’s been my fav and ahead of the game since day 1. Great to see a fellow musician keep his art side alive by continuing to paint/create. Swizz outta takes notes. Click here for the address. Peep more pics after the jump.

Banksy Vs Bristol Museum: Walk-Thru Footage |
Banksy vs Bristol Museum from Butterfly on Vimeo.

Did you know this lion actually roars? Or that the Tweety Bird in Banksy’s exhibit, Banksy vs Bristol Museum, actually talks? Unless you have had the privilege (and patience to wait in long lines) you probably have not had the pleasure of hearing as well as seeing the show of the summer.
Now you can in a great video walk-thru of Banksy vs Bristol Museum by Sandra aka Butterfly
I’ll be posting the pictures for this exhibition soon. Hate to say it, but the grass IS greener on the other side. Where else would you be able to view Banksy’s latest work and that too for FREE. If I can’t run my summer trip to UK, I might ask my cuzin to visit on my behalf and take mad pictures and footage. Also, mad love for Sandra for sharing this with the world. For those of you unaware of this Banksy fella, put down the Soulja Boy CD and Google some real sh!t.

Its the little things that count. |
Everyone is soOo concerned with the big things that they forget the small ones which help build a product. I was having a talk with the fam bout how I look for the small minor details in a product, cuz’ to me those are the things that help complete the look. Same goes for music. There are so many tracks out there where the producer introduces a minor fainted instrument in the record and will never repeat it for the rest of it. I hate that cuz its a friggin tease. However, it makes the record just thaaaat much better. Perfect example: Eminem – Amityville. There’s a violin sample that plays for maybe an 8th of a second at the beginning and I looooove that sh!t. This post is about bottle cap art, which hardly exists anymore. There are very few company left that put thought into the design of their bottle/cap. Here’s a couple pictures of dope vintage bottle cap art. More after the jump.

Meggs |
This is, thus far, some of the most craziest shit I’ve ever seen! Swing by Flikr for uploaded pics from Meggs or visit his site.
“Growing up in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, Meggs’ early artistic development was influenced by the cartoons, comics & sci-Fi films of the 1980’s. Fuelling his vivid imagination and creating a passion for superheroes, fantasy characters and bold colourful graphics, such as those found on toy packaging and video covers. This soon developed into a passion for skateboarding culture and interest in graffiti art and graphic design.”
