Next to the Relapse and Blackout 2 which I can’t wait to get in to next week this is the dopest album out from the Pink Panther. If there is anyone who can make a comeback and build himself back up like it ain’t sh!t, its gotta be Killa Cam. Ever since he started dropping his videos and singles, I honestly haven’t heard or read anyone mention the name Capo what-so-ever. And what I love the most about this release is, he never once mentions any of those guys names, nor does he need to. The album is exactly whatchu expected from Cam and a bit more.The man always has the dopest intros to his albums and this one by far takes the cake (or atleast ties with Come Home With Me). The 23 deep (including skits) disc has production and features from all new-comers. Majority of the album’s production is handled by Skitzo and Araabmuzik, who certainly hold it down for Mr. Spacely Sprocket. Whether its the sinster sound of Cookin’ Up or the soulful funk sound of Silky (No Home) LOL!, Cam glides over the beats and has plently of witty word play and flows to feed. The owner of the Dipset returns to claim his Harlem throne back from the imposters and continues to remind everyone why he is the original trendsetter. Crime Pays is out today and available at your local record shop. Support great music! Jump the gun to peep some joints off the album.

Hate it or love it, Crime Pays is well on its way and is looking great. Everything I’ve heard has been a banger and the tracklist seems very promising. Heard Jim pulled around 38k the first week. Ouch! Cam should be on the Angie Martinez show next week. Look out for that. Peep the tracklist after the jump.

Possibly the most talked about artist of ’09. I honestly don’t hear no buzz coming from any other artists at the moment. But ofcourse, there is the 3-headed monster and I’ll believe it when I see it. The jabs are hilarious.

With Cam coming back, its kinda hard not to listen to the good ol’ Roc days and peep the joints off the classic Come Home With Me. One of my fav joints off the album was War featuring Memphis Bleek x Beanie Sigel. Production by the great Just Blaze. We were having a sampling convo earlier, so thought I’d make a post relating to that. Check out the original joint by the Reg Tisley  Orchestra first and then the classic.

Here’s the continuation of Cam’s frist single of “I Hate My Job“. Sneak peak of his next single “I Used To Get It In Ohio” as well.

1. Movie Soundtracks/Scores - I’ve been on OSTs for a minute and have been following some of the greatest heavyweights of all time (Hans Zimmer, Jon Brion, Ennio Morricone, Herbie Hancock, Jimmy Page <- mainly for Death Wish) but now I’ve found a new hobby…listening to the score before watching the movie. “…its like, makes you 10x more higher!” Check out AFI’s Top 25 movie scores (out of 250 nominated) of all time.
2. Zack & Miri Make A Porno DVD – The filth-tape finally drops this Tuesday the 3rd. The 2-disc DVD features the making of, bloopers and the regular dozen of goodies we’ve all been waiting for. Get a signed copy of the DVD from Kevin Smith, if purchased off the J&SB website.
3. AriZona Iced Tea – I know, I know, I’m a cheating bastard for doing this to my beloved Nestea but this baby has a tall figure of 695mL and costs me ONLY $0.99!!!
4. Clarks Originals: Wallabees x Futura – Salute the gods for blessing us with a footwear that completely change the game for everyone. And a million thanks to Uncle Futura for hooking up with the Wallo heads for this brilliant masterpiece. Orders can be placed at SCHUH.
5. Chester French: She Loves Everybody – The single has been out for a hot minute, has numerous rotations, did damage and now the video will sweep the nation. Hate if you must, but you’ll soon be singing to the sounds of the Harvard boys.
6. Spooks – The rapper-slash-philosopher, super extraordinaire phenomenon. He’s currently performing open-mics across Hamilton and will be scheduled for performances in March. More info to follow.
7. NBA All Star 2009 – Can we give it to D.Howard already?!?
8. Cam’ron – After 2 yrs of hiatus, Killa returns with a brand new single, upcoming April  XXL cover and his 6th album Crime Pays on April 21st. At this point, I’m anticipating his comeback more than Detox Greatest Story Never Told Chappelles.
9. Cartoon Retro: Art of Shane Glines Vol.1 – The 48 colorful pages will feature your favourite vixens drawn in a retro pin-up style. The book will be ready for shipment by Feb 5th and can be directly ordered from Brand Studio Press.

I usually would never post a video of Cam’ron or perhaps any rap stuff, it’s not my territory, I’m more into random bullshit or whatever. I am not a devout dipset fan, there i said it, nor am I really into the ins and outs of the hip hop industry as much I was back in my prime. 1. I’ve been waiting for Saigon to drop since ’04 and ain’t sh!t popped. Yeah he gave us Warning Shots, Return of the Yardfather, Moral of the Story, DJ Whoo Kid x JB Present: Abandon Nation…but SO WHAT?!? In my opinion, Just shifted his focus to Jay Electronica. Heck, I’ve seen more pics, interviews and footage of them two together than I’ve seen of Sai and Blaze. This album is long over due and we sure as hell deserve it this year (same goes for Detox).

2. The Oscars and the Grammys are just events held by rich folks to give out awards to their rich BFF friends.

3. Juelz Santana should have been where Lil Wayne is today. We all know before Weezy popped off, Bandana was the topic of discussion everywhurr after What the Games been Missing dropped.  I can’t feel my face was suppose to come ages ago, and somewhurr along the release the project disappeared (along with Juelz) and Weezy became the new face of the game. If only Juelz wasn’t caught in the house drama BS, he would have had it just a good or even greater than Weezy. He deserved it and still does. Aaeh!

4. As an ex Dipset fan, I miss the homie Cam. He was our Harlem dude that we took for granted and instead we gave passage to all the wrong fools. Sure Cam’s style was hella childish at times, but he was swaggin’ waay before ya’ll even knew the word existed (SPLASH!). “…Snow so White, only thing missin’ are 7 dwarves.” Wow!

5. Jimmy is the new Cam. And he’s just as funny. BAWLINNNN’!!!!!!!!!!!!! (<— Jimmy talking greasy. Face expression @ 0:30 = Priceless)
