Following up on the recent animated trailer, we get a closer look into the latest project between popular Dutch artist/illustrator Parra and Converse. Part of the (RED) campaign, the shoes feature a beige suede upper with Parra’s cherry character immortalized in an embroidered all-over motif. Look out for a release soon through finer Converse accounts, including Limited Edt Chamber in Singapore.

To commemorate his 999 Tour, Converse hooked up with Peanut Butter Wolf on a pair of Chuck Taylor All-Stars. The kicks are featured in a simple white colorway with “999″ and wolf graphics. With only 9 produced, the limited edition kicks will be given away, 1 pair per everyday of the tour, which begins on September 1st, 2009 and runs through the 9th. 1. Converse Japan: Expo Nippon – Several themed (or not) sneaks being released and will feature highlights of Japan’s tradional crafts. The kicks will be released at various Converse locations in Japan this month.
2. The return of Killa Cam – I still say the Pink Panther was highly taken for granted and was never credited for creating the indie movement (Koch, Asylum), mock humor and the name of Fif’s 3rd album.
3. Detox Leaks – As saddening the situation is, it just further lets us know that the album is well on its way and will be ghostwritten by the greats.
4. It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia – A live action version of the Family Guy. Much better. *patiently waits for the Chemical Toilet – Night Man vinyl release.
5. The Venture Bros. Season III DVD – Finally drops March 24th. Gorgeous box-art as usual.
6. Parra’s Ma Dukes Tee – After nearly a month and stoopid post-office drama, it finally came in. Be sure to cop yours and support Ma Dukes. Much respect to Stones Throw for the extra goodies.

4. Christopher Nolan – The only director with a perfect record, 6/6. Dark Knight was flawless, Prestige was incredible but Memento is where its at. We need to see another Nolan and Pearce reunion.

7. Inauguration Day 2009 - Congrats to Sir Obama and the entire team. Be sure to visit the site and pick up your Obama 6″ action figures, bobble heads, paper dolls, life size cutouts, christmas ornaments, 24K gold pin and the official inauguration pin. HEAVY!
