Word is, this is Jay’s single. Video was shot in Nepal, by this dude named Deacon, some months back since I seen the pics of it on his Facebook. Let’s hope the debut album is in the making since “What the F*ck Is A Jay Electronica” is one of the BEST mixtape/album EVER! Beat is bangin, has a Madlib sound to it, which blew me away coz it aint Bleezy’s style. Be sure to get Jay’s mixtape here if you havn’t already.

Statik Selektah x Q-Tip: The Look of Love [Dilla Tribute] |
I was going through my externals and came across a bunch of old Dilla tribute mixes and beat tapes. I’ll be posting ‘em through out the day, but I’ll leave out the beat tapes. I’ll letcha’ have the fun of scavenging around for all 3 of ‘em. There’s a couple more, but most of them have repeats.
The here’s a fine collection of Dilla’s work, accompanied by his close friends x fans. Static Slektah and Q-Tip pulled together joints from Common, De La Soul, Termanology, Erykah Badu, Hi-Tek and many more. Peep the tracklist and download link after the jump.

Classic Dilla Sh!t |
I’ve decided to post some of Dilla’s most brilliant, yet important, pieces of work. Any producer/beatmaker who has ever heard one of Dilla’s beats has taken back something from it and used it in their work at some point eventually. The man was a wizard with the MPC and can’t nobody fruck with his method of chopping samples. His work has always brought out the best of any artists and it clearly shows in the cases of Erykah Badu, Common, Busta Rhymes and De La Soul. Didn’t Cha Know by Badu has always been one of my most favourite joints everrr and will continue to open doors for me with my production.
