I’ve decided to post some of Dilla’s most brilliant, yet important, pieces of work. Any producer/beatmaker who has ever heard one of Dilla’s beats has taken back something from it and used it in their work at some point eventually. The man was a wizard with the MPC and can’t nobody fruck with his method of chopping samples. His work has always brought out the best of any artists and it clearly shows in the cases of Erykah Badu, Common, Busta Rhymes and De La Soul. Didn’t Cha Know by Badu has always been one of my most favourite joints everrr and will continue to open doors for me with my production. I found these really cool ads for some Samsung music phone or something. It was done by an ad agency in New Delhi India called Cheil Worldwide. I think these ads are beautifully illustrated and once again go to show great advertising is like a fine art.
