Super C returns with her 3rd album and its definitely the type to add to your collection. I’ve always admired Ciara for staying out the nasty circle of rumors and sex-tape/pic leaks and just focusing on her music. And you can certainly tell her level of dedication by the quality of the product she puts out. The album is thoroughly impressive with flawless production, catchy melodies, the correct amount of features and super song writing. The 13 track disc features J.T., Luda, Chris Breezy, Jeezy, The Dream and Missy. The production game is handled by Danja, Polow, Darkchild (hella underrated, but he murked Pucker Up) and more. The record is a fun experience and has something for everyone to enjoy from up-tempo bangers as Turntables to the soft sounds of I Don’t Remember. I personally don’t own any of her albums, but this might be the first. Madonna’s always been the one to rock the clubs with her infectious pop sound and who better to recruit for her album then Timbaland and JT for the first single “4 Minutes“. The song was aiiiight, but when I heard that The Neptunes were producing 8 out of the 12 tracks, I HAD to give it a listen. As much as I hate to admit it, the Star Trak boys massacred Timbo and Danja with their sounds and patterns. Don’t get it twisted, Timbo/Danja definitely got bangers on the albums, but the Neptunes sound was something fresh that the pair haven’t done in a minute. Also, their entire approach towards each track helps shape the entire album. I shouldn’t say this and maybe I’m biased, but the duo may be the only reason to purchase this album. Madonna definitely does her thing, but its nothing that I haven’t heard from her from the past 10 albums. This album is more so for the producers to shine, display their creative abilities and show the world, once again, why they’re called Star Trak. Guest feature is kept to a minimum and only includes Justin, KanYe and Pharrell. The album has several outstanding tracks and be sure to check out the Borat sounding melody on” Give It 2 Me“. In today’s music industry, the market has made it extremely difficult for past artists to stay relevant with today’s time. With record sales being pissed out the back, its a struggle for artists to make a buck. Only a few can maintain their spot in the ring and Mariah is that chick. Her latest album, being her 11th, is flooded with quality tracks and genres that reach out to everyone. Believe me, there is something there for everyone. The girls can definitely vibe out to tracks like “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time”, “Last Kiss” and the radio burner “Touch My Body”. While the guys can bang out bass-heavy tracks with the features of Damien Marley, T-Pain and Young Jeezy. Production on the album is contributed by Danja, Swizz Beatz, Tricky Stewart, DJ Toomp and, ofcourse, Jermaine Dupri. Whether you’re a fan or not, get used to a Mariah Carey summer. The radio stations are gonn grind her songs into the ground.
