An interesting release has dropped in Japan from German brand Romika. Not exactly known for their stylish sneakers, the brand has come out with the “Tennis Ball” pack, which is definitely something for the brave among you. As part of the pack they present the low top Pirate sneaker and the mid top Korsar. Both come in neon yellow and neon green and are now available at Flauge.

Much cleaner and fresher than the Reebok Pumps released a while back. The green ones are looking extra crispy. More flix after the jump.

A more traditional mid-top sneaker offering from the Lacoste Stealth collection surfaces as the Cadmus UE. The two-pack of sneakers features two different colors, pure black and pure white. Within each style are common elements such as quality perforated leathers and puffy collars. Both styles are available now at Sole What? in Kuala Lumpur, however expect them to hit select Lacoste Stealth dealers across the world.

London fashion label, Maharishi, teams up with Adidas to create a fresh new look for the Stan Smith’s. This little bady boy will be dropping in Fall. Definitely need to cop a pair of these.

“Switzerland-born artist and designer GROTESK (now based in NYC, whose work will be the subject of our next June 2009 cover story) along with the Swiss artists at +41 collaborated on a fresh design for a special Bespoke Air Force 1.

The mini collection is the brainchild of GROTESK and +41 blending two iconic shoe models, the Air Jordan Sky High and the Air Jordan III. Despite traditional colorway transfers, the final product is well-executed and clean. The lacelocks include dual branding with each side showing +41 and GROTESK.”

The theme of re-applying various themes in its literal context on footwear is nothing new. From the recent fruit/watermelon inspired joints to other odd-ball themes, Vans Vault manages to keep it classy with their upcoming interpretation of the peacoat on the Chukka Boot. The wool upper is an obvious reference to the melton wools seen on peacoats while the use of the button highlight reinforces the shoe’s reference to that trusty winter staple. Was up folks, check it I love Nike. I could get into the reasons why and all that stuff, but yo, it really comes down to marketing and these guys are f**king marketing geniuses in my opinion, they have made some of the most memorable commercials I’ve ever seen and well add this gem to the list. First some context, a few weeks ago Nike released this promo video with Kobe, DJ AM and Mike Epps, it was pretty cool, nice fun commercial for whatever shoe (Kobe IV), cool.

But then yesterday I stumbled upon this beauty of a commercial featuring the man Kobe and well… I dare you to watch this without at least smiling. One of the best ads I’ve seen in a while.
